After finishing my confinement and returning to work, all my foreign colleagues were amazed, asking why I looked so healthy and energetic — nothing like someone who had a C-section just 6 weeks earlier. I credit it to my family’s loving care and Jingmommy’s postpartum meals. This was my second baby, and as a nutritionist and a Chinese woman, I naturally understood the importance of diet during confinement. Knowing Nicole from Jingmommy and having toured their kitchen — seeing firsthand how thoughtfully they prepare each meal — I decided to let them handle my dietary nourishment so I could rest and care for baby without worry.

What I appreciate most about Jingmommy is the generous amount of soups and the fresh vegetables in a variety of colors. The soup portions were more than sufficient for a breastfeeding mom — sometimes I couldn’t even finish it all! The colorful mix of vegetables balanced “cooling” and “warming” natures appropriately, and even after reheating they retained their fresh sweetness and texture. Since the combinations changed daily, I never got tired of eating them. The desserts weren’t overly sweet, so there was no need to worry about excessive calories. Meals arrived on time every day — the only challenge was clearing space in the fridge, and sometimes I needed family help to finish everything. Jingmommy’s meals are convenient, hygienic, nutritionally balanced, and made with fresh ingredients — truly a great helper for postpartum moms.

This is dinner — the soups aren’t oily at all.

I didn’t take many photos, and I didn’t photograph the desserts, so it may not look like much or very appetizing. But the food is actually really great! I had quite severe edema toward the end of my pregnancy — my sandals were barely fitting — but after delivery, I ate the postpartum meals diligently and the swelling disappeared completely by day 3! I felt so much lighter, and by the end of week 3 postpartum, I had dropped from 54kg before delivery to 46kg — a very fast recovery! Jingmommy follows the philosophy of Dr. Chuang Shu-Chi, emphasizing low-oil meals — the sesame oil chicken has no chicken skin — low-salt (almost no salty taste in any dish, which helped reduce swelling quickly), and low-sugar desserts. Combined with daily multigrain rice, my digestion was very smooth postpartum. Even though it’s low-salt and low-sugar, the food is still tasty. The soups helped my milk come in abundantly starting day 3! Highly recommended!
