Before dawn breaks, the punctual Jingmommy culinary team begins cooking postpartum meals at 5:00 a.m., preparing ingredients gathered the day before and cooking them in sequence according to the time each needs to be ready. Finished meals are packed by kitchen staff into PP5-grade meal containers — an FDA-approved, non-toxic, high-temperature-resistant format that eliminates concerns about plasticizers leaching into the food. Then the meticulous front-of-house team carefully packs the prepared meals into delivery boxes according to each mom’s specific day and stage of confinement. Before sealing each box, they double-check that every item for that day is included, with nothing missing. Finally, rain or shine, the dedicated driver team delivers each freshly cooked postpartum meal to every mom’s home.

Jingmommy is the only postpartum meal delivery service in Los Angeles with its own 100% self-operated central kitchen. Unlike typical home kitchens, a government-licensed central kitchen must undergo unannounced health inspections by the health department and follow a rigorous food-handling process — serving as the first line of defense for moms. The central kitchen also represents Jingmommy’s commitment to culinary professionalism: we willingly invest in purchasing our own central kitchen, unlike other operators who settle for renting space in a bento shop or outsource production to guerrilla postpartum meal agents. Jingmommy’s central kitchen is also the only one in Los Angeles open for visits and tastings — proof of our strict quality standards and commitment to protecting our clients.
All of Jingmommy’s meals are carefully planned by Nicole, America’s postpartum expert (U.S. Food Handler license), and prepared daily by licensed U.S. chefs who start cooking every morning. This is a completely different level from those who copy Jingmommy’s recipes and hire aunties to cook (yet call themselves Taiwanese postpartum chefs).
